The CPA Education Foundation Supports Post-Secondary Institutions

The Foundation and Alberta’s post-secondary institutions have a shared goal of ensuring students receive the highest quality of accounting and business education. This is why the Foundation supports initiatives that help to innovate or improve accounting education and advance accounting research.

Each year, the Foundation administers four major grant programs at Alberta post-secondary institutions to advance, enhance, enrich, and increase access to accounting and business education.

The Innovations in Accounting Education Fund provides support for projects and initiatives proposed by faculty members within the designated school of business. The purposes of the fund is to enhance the quality and/or accessibility of post-secondary accounting education.
The Faculty Recruitment and Retention Fund provides support to post-secondary business schools to help them recruit and retain accounting faculty.
Financial support is provided to Alberta colleges offering direct transfer pathways to degree-granting institutions approved for entry into the CPA Professional Education Program (CPA PEP).
Up to $40,000 is awarded annually for accounting research at Alberta post-secondary institutions.
