Accounting Educators

The CPA profession wouldn’t thrive as it does in Alberta without the presence and contributions of excellent educators and mentors. Our profession depends on accounting educators that are committed to inspiring, challenging, and encouraging students in the classroom.

A favourite among our post-secondary partners, the Conference for Accounting Educators provides accounting educators the opportunity to connect with colleagues and explore issues that are shaping the future of the CPA profession. The conference is free for any full-time, part-time, or sessional accounting faculty member or instructor from an Alberta or Saskatchewan post-secondary institution.

The CPA Education Foundation Teaching Award was designed to reward educators from various Alberta post-secondary institutions and the University of Saskatchewan who have contributed significantly to the teaching and learning development of accounting students through initiatives such as innovative instruction, curriculum development and overall service to students.

Part of what makes this award so special is that selections are based on student input as well as peer recognition, offering a unique opportunity for educators to receive recognition from those who are the direct beneficiaries of their dedication in the classroom.
