Resilient Leadership

The five-part Resilient Leadership Certificate focuses on the critical components of resilient leadership.

In the crucible of crisis, resilient leaders are defined by who they are. Never before have we so desperately needed bold authentic leadership that inspires real energy, commitment, resilience, and resolve to move forward with hope and optimism. We look to our leaders to be an example of all that is needed now.

Module Description
Five qualities of a leader who thrives in a crisis
Are you the kind of leader people want to follow? How leaders show up in this moment and what you stand for will be remembered for years to come. Discover the five qualities of a leader, including insights and tools to assess and strengthen your ability to not only survive—but also thrive—during a crisis.
Energize your team through uncertainty
Leading in times of uncertainty is like driving through fog. You can only see a few feet ahead of you, but you can make the whole journey that way. Find clarity and bring focus to your leadership through a simple three-part framework that can help you lead through uncertainty and strengthen your team for the long haul.
Who’s listening?
In this moment when we need to hear and be heard more than ever, we have paradoxically become worse at listening. Change the way you think about communicating with your team, family, and friends and learn how to listen well and why it matters.
Manage your mindset and emotional well-being
Have you considered how you might remain optimistic and hopeful in front of your team, no matter the situation? Leaders must continue to lead with strength and compassion. Learn how to apply tools for a resilient mindset and how you can support your team through all kinds of emotions.
Balance life, work, and overwhelm
Sometimes, it feels like work never ends, and we’re in a constant cycle of overwhelm, reducing our productivity, presence, and focus. It’s time for a reset! Carve a new path from burn out to resilience and replace unsustainable patterns with habits that build energy.

Professional Speaker, Author, Coach

Tammy Robertson believes the greatest test of leadership today is captured in a simple message: “Keep Your Heart in the Game™!

As a Resilience Play Maker, Tammy knows resilience isn’t built in theory — it’s forged on the field, in the midst of action, when the old playbook no longer works, the pressure is on, and new moves are needed. Resilience, grit, and robust energy don’t just happen; they emerge from daily practices that prepare leaders and teams to rise up and meet the toughest challenges straight on.

A former organizational leader turned keynote speaker and facilitator, Tammy is not your typical leadership coach. Her aim is to awaken leaders to the deep and lasting impact they have with every conversation and decision. Her approach is equal parts challenging and compassionate: she dares leaders to face their doubts while giving them practical tools to lead with clarity and confidence.

Co-author of four books and a professional speaker to audiences across North America, Tammy is known for her down-to-earth style and straight talk. She blends research, storytelling, and a good dose of playfulness to rouse our senses and ignite real intention in leadership. Her sessions equip leaders with strategies to step onto the field with more strength, grit, and tools — and a renewed sense of purpose and possibility.

Tammy holds a Master’s Degree in Physical and Health Education from Western University. Her diverse client base spans health care, education, all levels of government, and energy, but her largest audience has long been accountants. She has worked across Canada delivering seminars and conference keynotes that inspire leaders to embrace resilience, balance, and optimism in their work and lives.

For over 25 years, Tammy has partnered with the University of Calgary, teaching more than 1,000 hours of leadership training to corporate clients. She has also been a faculty member at the Banff Centre for Management and part of an international team of coaches delivering the Coaching for Great Work™ Program.

A respected commentator in the media on workplace wellness and culture, Tammy offers a unique blend of research, observation, and gritty guidance — along with her distinct call to action: “Make your time count.”

To meet the deepening needs of today’s wildly changing world, Tammy developed the five-course Resilient Leadership Certificate, which has helped teams shift culture, increase engagement, reduce turnover, and bring back the fun. Leaders learn to cultivate the mindset, strategies, and tools to persevere and succeed in times of disruption and change.

Tammy believes resilience is not an inborn trait — it’s a habit and a practice we choose. With new insight and inspiration, she shows leaders how to “Start at Start,” regaining confidence, enthusiasm, and lightness even when it’s anything but easy. Keeping your heart in the game is not passive — it’s a mighty choice that will change your life and your leadership.
