Maddison brings sharp advocacy and a deep understanding of workplace and reputational risk to her diverse legal practice. Before beginning her articles, she completed a clerkship with the Alberta Court of Appeal in Edmonton, which helped shape her approach to complex legal issues.

She has appeared before tribunals and all levels of court in Alberta, as well as the Court of King’s Bench and the Court of Appeal of Saskatchewan. She has also represented clients in leave applications to the Supreme Court of Canada.

Her employment practice involves advising both employers and employees on matters including terminations, human resource issues, and workplace policy development. She also supports regulatory bodies on legislative interpretation and disciplinary hearings, and holds a certificate in workplace investigations.

Maddison also practises in media and defamation law, assisting media outlets and individuals with publication restrictions and defamation claims. She coaches the Wilson Moot at the University of Alberta Faculty of Law and regularly presents on legal issues across her areas of practice.
