This year, seven candidates are running for two open positions on the CPA Alberta Board, including two incumbents seeking re-election.
The CPA Alberta Governance Committee emphasizes the core skill sets for CPA Alberta Board Members are:
- Governance expertise: Experience on a Board of Directors or related body providing oversight with regard to the way rules, norms, and actions are structured, sustained, regulated, and held accountable within an organization.
- High level of strategic planning and thinking: Experience in defining and planning the strategy, direction, timing, priorities, and allocation of resources that aligns with an organization’s mission, vision, and purpose.
Please note:
- Voting is open from August 7 until 12 p.m. (MDT) on September 2.
- There are no proposed changes to the organization’s governing documents, so no Regulatory Vote is necessary this year.
