Help spark a great career

For the last four decades, the CPA Education Foundation has continued to support innovation in business and accounting education and provide opportunities for young Albertans to learn more about careers in accounting.

The aim of the Sparking Great Careers project is to provide young people with an early introduction to the CPA profession through the creation of programs and services – like internships and soft-skill development seminars – that will help prepare high school and post-secondary students for the workforce. 

And we need Alberta CPAs to help ignite the future of the profession.

With your support, the Foundation hopes to:

  • Provide students with a positive early introduction to the CPA profession through internships.
  • Support students by establishing new legacy scholarships, bursaries and support programs.
  • Help connect new Canadians and employers by providing resource and support materials (both digital and print) in languages other than English for prospective and current CPA PEP candidates.
  • Help students develop the business soft-skills they need to succeed through a variety of learning opportunities.
 

  1. Donate to Sparking Great Careers.
    The CPA Education Foundation, a registered charity, is the charitable arm of the CPA profession in Alberta. Its work is funded by Alberta CPAs and other donors. By making a donation to the Foundation’s Sparking Great Careers project, you can make a difference in the lives of many future CPAs. Donate online today!
  2. Become a Sparking Great Careers Internship program partner.
    Internship placements are offered over the summer breaks: May to August for post-secondary and July to August for high school students. Download our brochureto learn more about starting an internship.
  3. Sign-up to volunteer at future Sparking Great Careers or other Foundation seminars and events.
    Those who are passionate about the profession – CPAs like you – are the best ambassadors. Students enjoy learning from and hearing first-hand accounts from accounting professionals.
