Board Vote 2025

This year, eight candidates are running for three open positions, including an incumbent running for re-election on the CPA Alberta Board. Please see below to find more information about the candidates by reading their biographies and reflections on the profession.

You may also wish to consider that the CPA Alberta Governance Committee has identified a number of competency areas, professional experience, and characteristics that would enhance the diversity of thought and expertise of the CPA Alberta Board. This year, we are seeking board members with extensive board governance experience and strong strategic thinking capability.

To reflect the diversity of professional backgrounds of Alberta CPAs—who work in many different sectors throughout Alberta—individual(s) with experience in post-secondary education and individual(s) with experience in the public sector would be welcome additions to the CPA Alberta Board

CPA Alberta is best served when the Board reflects its membership. Information towards the end of this webpage provides a general overview of the current CPA Alberta membership.

Please note:

  • Voting is open from August 5 until 12 p.m. (MDT) on September 5.
  • There is no expectation for a single candidate to meet all the above criteria for skills or demographics.
  • There are no proposed changes to the organization’s governing documents, no Regulatory Vote is necessary this year.
