Phil was recently appointed as Auditor General, following his tenure as General Counsel and Ethics Officer for the Office. He is a Fellow Chartered Professional Accountant and King’s Counsel, and regularly presents on ethics and legal matters relevant to the audit profession.
Phil has been responsible for ethics-related investigations under whistleblower legislation and has tribunal experience, bringing both practical and adjudicative perspectives to his work with members.
Outside of work, he is learning to pilot a small aircraft and, in the summer, attempting to out-fish his wife, pursuits that remain, by his account, elusive.
