On behalf of the CPA Alberta Board and our professional community, congratulations to everyone who passed the June CFE.
This is an exceptional accomplishment. It represents countless hours of preparation, hard work and sacrifice, and likely more than a few moments when you had to dig deep and keep going. Take the time to celebrate what you have achieved and the people who helped you get here.
The CFE tests more than technical knowledge. It asks you to exercise judgment, think critically and make thoughtful decisions when the answer isn't always clear. These capabilities will serve you well throughout your career. As CPAs, we are trusted not simply because of what we know, but because of how we think—the judgment we exercise, the integrity we bring to our work, and the responsibility that comes with being a member of a regulated profession.
As you continue your journey toward becoming a CPA, there is much to look forward to. There is no single path a CPA career must follow, and you may find that this designation takes you places you cannot yet imagine. It can open doors, create opportunities, and give you choices about the career and life you want to build.
You are preparing to enter a profession that has been shaped by generations of CPAs before you. Over the course of your career, you too will have the opportunity to shape it—bringing your experiences and perspectives, contributing to the organizations and communities you serve, and helping steward our profession for those who will follow.
We are incredibly proud of what you have accomplished. Passing the CFE is a significant milestone on your journey, and we look forward to celebrating with you at Convocation in early 2027.
Congratulations on this well-earned achievement.
