This session, “Personal Cultural Style in the Workplace,” explores how our cultural backgrounds shape communication, relationships, and management preferences at work.

Participants will complete the Personal Cultural Style Self-Assessment to better understand their own tendencies across key dimensions such as hierarchy, communication style, and work–life balance. This assessment is based on the Geert Hofstede Theory of Cultural Dimensions.

Attendees will learn how these preferences influence interactions within diverse teams and how awareness of different cultural styles can improve collaboration, inclusion, and performance. Managers and team leads will also gain insight into adjusting their delivery and feedback approaches to suit diverse audiences and enhance engagement.

The webinar will cover the following

  • Identifying personal cultural style preferences using the assessment tool.
  • Recognizing how cultural dimensions (e.g., hierarchy, communication style, time orientation) impact workplace relationships.
  • Reflecting on how self-awareness supports inclusive leadership and effective onboarding of international hires
  • Examples of how different cultural preferences appear in real workplace situations.
