Emotional intelligence (EI) is the set of emotional and social skills that influence the way we perceive and express ourselves, develop social relationships, cope with challenges, and use emotional information.

The Emotional Quotient Inventory (EQ-i 2.0®) model of emotional intelligence provides an overall snapshot of your EI. Unlike IQ, which is generally fixed at a younger age, your emotional quotient (EQ) can be improved over time. This assessment will provide your EI scores, how composite results interact, their impact at work, and how understanding these results can give you strategies for an action plan to improve your EQ. Unlike other online tools, this assessment is a deep dive with valid and verifiable results that can be compared to statistical norms, based on peer-reviewed theories of emotional intelligence.

The EQ-i Workplace Assessment Report will compare your results to an aggregate group of professionals to give you a range of scores over 15 sub-metrics based on the EI model.

The ICS Inventory® is an assessment that addresses how we deal with and overcome misunderstanding, misperception, and hostility. How we communicate frustrations in conflict can help diffuse or escalate a situation, causing short-term or, in severe cases, long-term relational damage.

For those in a leadership position, the awareness and tools offered with this assessment can help you:

  • Reduce turnover,
  • Increase productivity,
  • Improve motivation,
  • Lessen emotional distress,
  • Eliminate misunderstandings,
  • Create a safe work space, and
  • Avoid toxicity in teams.

For those in non-leadership roles, this assessment can help you:

  • Build effective relationships with colleagues and management,
  • Develop empathy,
  • Resolve disagreements,
  • Improve interpersonal relationships,
  • Communicate accurately, and
  • Manage stress

The resulting report and debrief are designed to help you to understand your default conflict style, and to leverage your own style and self-awareness to adapt effectively to others during conflict situations, whether or not you understand their culture.

This assessment provides a 16-page report that touches on:

  • Evaluation of the interpretive manner in which people handle conflict,
  • Analysis of expression of your true self under stress and conflict,
  • Instinctive dimensions and styles: Discussion, engagement, accommodation and dynamic,
  • Structured self-reflection and development plan, and
  • Review of conflict-style factors: Emotional expressiveness vs. restraint, and direct vs. indirect styles.

The Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) is a tool that helps evaluate presumptions we may have about ourselves and about others. It provides a personalized development plan to help us improve our interpersonal effectiveness and achieve our goals. It uses the Intercultural Development Continuum to evaluate where on the spectrum you are and where on the spectrum you aspire to be.

This tool can help you gain knowledge, awareness and skills to:

  • Reduce cultural adjustments in a new workplace environment, or with a new team or staff members,
  • Improve adaptation to different learning and training techniques,
  • Interact productively with internal and external stakeholders,
  • Enhance professional effectiveness,
  • Obtain diversity and inclusion goals for recruitment, hiring and retention,
  • Eliminate disparities between dominant and non-dominant culture members, and
  • Improve community relations.

Our cultural identity starts when we are born, develops through values and behaviours shared within our family, grows further throughout our schooling, and on with engagement in our neighbourhood, city, country and the world at large. Culture includes political beliefs, values, languages, and intersects with music, art and food.

Intercultural effectiveness is our ability to work effectively with individuals who are different from us. This assessments goes beyond If you ever find yourself or someone else saying:

  • “Who does that?”
  • “Who says that?”
  • “Sorry, but that’s just not how we do things here, and if you don’t get it ...”
  • “I’ve shown Bob 5 times how to do this, and he just doesn’t get it.”

Then you’re probably experiencing some sort of cultural difference.
