Career Workshops and Webinars
Career Advisors periodically host workshops and webinars, ranging in duration from 30 minutes to 4 hours, on a variety of employment related topics.
Brown Bag Lunch Seminars
Make your lunch hour truly powerful! Bring your lunch and attend a “brown bag” seminar, presented by CPA Alberta Career Services. Each month we cover a different career development topic.
Rapid Resume Reviews
Career Services has partnered with local industry representatives to provide members, candidates and students with the opportunity to receive a free resume critique. Once a month, you are invited to book a 20-minute Rapid Resume Review.
Meet one-on-one with a Career Advisor or guest resume reviewer at the CPA Alberta (Calgary and Edmonton) offices to learn the key components of an effective resume and how to showcase your strengths and accomplishments (by appointment only - registration required).
“Monday Meetup” is a forum for CPA members, candidates, and students who are looking for work or underemployed. These events are informal and unstructured with no agenda or presentations. They consist primarily of peer-support with input from career advisors. Come with your own topic or queries, share your positive experiences, and get support from others with your challenges.
Mock Interview Program
Career Services has partnered with local Recruiters to provide you with valuable interview feedback. Meet one-on-one with a recruiter for a 30-minute mock interview followed by 5-10 minutes of performance feedback. Mock Interviews are provided on an ad-hoc basis; contact a Career Advisor for more information.
Connector Program and Mentor Events
Workshops are held throughout the year for participants in the CPA Alberta Career Development, and Foreign Trained Professional Mentor, and Connector programs.
