Speaker Bios

Greg Campeau
Since founding Campeau Learning in 1991, Greg has delivered over 2400 presentations to people throughout North America, establishing a client list that includes: Telus, Finning, BC Hydro, TD and Royal Banks, Lafarge, SNC Lavalin, Rogers, Federal and Provincial Governments and the NHL Coaches Association.

Previous to becoming a professional facilitator and speaker, Greg obtained an Honors Bachelor of Commerce Degree from University of Windsor. He went on to spend over 15 years with international food companies Nabisco and Cadbury’s obtaining increasingly senior management positions establishing a record of turn-around success.

Concurrently for 13 years Greg has instructed course at the BCIT School of Business in both the Marketing and Human Resources Faculties. Greg describes himself as a learner and teacher of the timeless leadership truths that govern personal, interpersonal and organizational effectiveness.
Adam C
Adam Czarnecki is a Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) and a recipient of the CPHR Alberta Award of Excellence and the Distinguished Teaching Award from Mount Royal University. Since 2010 he has been a member of the Senior Management team of a heavy duty truck dealership group in Alberta where he is responsible for Human Resources, Health and Safety, Information Technology.

He is an Instructor at the University of Calgary, Mount Royal University and Merit Construction Association. Adam Czarnecki is an avid contributor to industry webinars, conferences and expert panel discussions related to human resources, trades and the Alberta employment pool, including a past role as technology columnist for CPHR Alberta’s quarterly magazine, HUMANCapital. He is a past CPHR Alberta Board Member as well as volunteer with post-secondary institutions and various not for profit societies as a committee member, speaker on employment, corporate readiness and as a resume advisor to students. He holds a Bachelor of Social Sciences Degree from the University of Calgary with a concentration in Crime and Deviance.
Pamela D
Patricia has been a Chartered Accountant in public practice since 1985. Patricia has a diverse background that included being a practice reviewer for almost 13 years. More recently, she was an Associate Partner with Deloitte for five years. Her experience includes monitoring and implementation of quality control systems, technical assistance to engagement teams with respect to assurance, ASPE and IFRS issues. Presently she has her own small practice where she provides consulting services to various public accounting firms regarding practice management and technical assistance for assurance, ASPE and IFRS issues. She also provides period end assistance to a few public companies. Patricia also has a passion to share her experiences with those wanting to enter the profession and teaches various fourth level accounting and assurance courses at SAIT.
Drew has a diverse background in personal and corporate taxation matters having worked at both large and small firms. He has lectured and tutored in the qualification course and the In-Depth Tax course and has co-lectured both the corporate and personal income tax update seminars. He has experience in numerous areas of international and domestic taxation and has also advised on GST and provincial sales tax issues.
Garth Sheriff

Garth Sheriff, CPA, CA, CPA (IL, USA), CIA, MAcc, is the founder of Sheriff Consulting (sheriffconsulting.com). The organization specializes in the design and delivery of assurance, accounting, and communication skill professional development courses. Sheriff Consulting strives to create a learning environment that is engaging, interactive, and effective.

Garth has worked as an assurance professional and learning provider for over 15 years. He has prepared and trained CPAs for key changes to the profession, including internal control documentation (SOX), Canadian Auditing Standards (CAS) and Canadian Standards on Review Engagements 2400 (CSRE 2400).

He earned a Master of Accounting and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours - Accounting) from the University of Waterloo, Canada. He is a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario (CPAO), American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).

Garth has also acted in various stage and film productions. He is a graduate in improvisation from The Second City and a member of ACTRA (the Alliance of Canadian Cinema, Television and Radio Artists).

Val S
Val Steed graduated from Utah State University where he received both his Bachelors of Science (BS) in Accounting and his Masters of Accounting (MA).

After college, Val worked for Deloitte Haskins and Sells of Salt Lake City, Utah, and then with Hansen, Steed, Bradshaw & Malmrose P.C. of Salt Lake City. Val was with Hansen, Steed, Bradshaw & Malmrose P.C. for eleven years and was a shareholder for six years before leaving to start K2 Enterprises. Currently, Val is the CEO of K2 Enterprises which is a national technology training and consulting organization. He has twelve years’ experience in public practice and has been involved with the accounting technology industry for more than 30 years.

Val is the Chair of the American Institute of CPA’s (AICPA) Technology Conference, as well as a four-year member of AICPA’s Information Technology Executive Committee. He’s a three-year recipient of AICPA’s Outstanding Discussion Leader Award, and was also recognized with an Outstanding Discussion Leader Awards from Utah and Indiana Society of CPAs.
