Jumpstart Tour 2020: Data Analytics in Finance and Accounting

Organizations are leveraging data analytics to produce their competitive advantage, improve customer experience, provide better products and services, enhance margins and profitability, and reduce cost. However with new tools and techniques unveiled frequently, deciding where to start and what to aim for is often a challenge.

Together we will explore some of the most common tools in the analytics domain and work through several examples. By the end of this session, you will have a better understanding of what data analytics can achieve and gain insights on the most in-demand data analytics skills for CPAs.

Sector specific sessions will explore:

  • The data analytics process
  • Skills accountants need to be more data-driven
  • The role and application of technology
  • The path ahead and available resources

This session may qualify for up to 1.5 Continuing Professional Development hours.

I thoroughly enjoyed the day filled with information. It opened my eyes to the world of the accountant—it's challenged by the changing environment and technology, which puts an accountant's life far from the traditional description. It was also a great remember you are not alone as a CPA.
