Academic Symposium

The Academic Symposium is a free virtual webinar where accounting educators have the opportunity to share some of the incredible work that they have accomplished at their post-secondary institutions through CPA Education Foundation-funded grants. Both academics and industry professionals will learn from their expertise as they get an inside look at how these educators are helping to shape tomorrow’s CPAs. 

The third annual event - Academic Symposium III - was held on November 23, 2023, featuring presentations from:

  • Natasha Hemraj CPA, CA, MFM and Rhonda Heninger CPA, CMA, MBA – SAIT’s Second Year in Presenting the Accounting Gala | Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT)
  • Tashfeen Hussain PhD – Test of financial inclusivity of peer-to-peer lending platforms during crisis: The case of COVID-19 | Mount Royal University

 

2023 Academic Symposium

The second annual event - Academic Symposium II - was held on November 24, 2022. Featured presenters included:

2022 Academic Symposium

The inaugural Academic Symposium was held on November 25, 2021, and featured the following presenters:
