Many CPAs play an integral role in building their communities – using their expertise to help businesses and other organizations succeed. Our guest speaker will discuss how their experience has re-shaped the city they live in with their involvement in transformative projects.

You’ll have the opportunity to network with other local CPAs in attendance who will speak to the value of the CPA designation. CPA Alberta representatives will also be available onsite to advise on CPA program options.

Meet the Pros

Edmonton - Rob Malli CPA, CMA



Rob Malli is Chief Financial Officer and Vice President, Strategy & Corporate Services at Edmonton International Airport (EIA). Rob has been a CFO for 9 years in both the Financial Services / Banking and Airport Industries. He frequently shares his executive business experiences and his thoughts at Industry conferences across North America. Recent initiatives under Rob’s responsibility included: Implementation of a new ERP system; implementation of an objective-based risk management framework; and production of EIA’s first and ongoing sustainability reports. Rob has also led major restructuring initiatives resulting in market transactions in excess of $1 billion, as well as business process transformations resulting in more simplified work processes and more engaged employees.

Rob is a member of the Board of the Canadian Airports Risk Managers Group (CARMaG) and the Airports Council International - North American (ACI-NA) Finance Steering Committee & ACI World Economics and Finance Committee.

Calgary - Robin Eng CPA, CMA



Robin Eng is the Director, Accounting Services for The Calgary Airport Authority and is responsible for overseeing financial functions at the Authority, which operates both YYC Calgary International Airport and Springbank Airport. Since receiving his CMA in 1994, Robin has been as a key member of the Authority’s financial team — performing long range forecasting, budgeting and managing all treasury including borrowing, overseeing spending and financial reporting on the more than $4 billion investment the Authority has made into developing YYC into a world-class airport.

Robin is an active volunteer who uses his financial expertise to focus on “community building” and advancing the Accounting discipline. He is currently a member of the SAIT Accounting Advisory Committee and is the immediate past president of the Association of Airport Internal Auditors: a professional organization dedicated to enhancing the airport auditing process and promoting professional growth among its members through the sharing of auditing best practices.
